About Us › Goals & Statements
Mission statement:
To build a company with Conscious Awareness and Specific Intent that actively moves the world in
the direction of peace. To create a physical NON-EGO product that gives back more than it takes.
A product that feels
good to you, is good for you, is good for others and most importantly serves the greater good.
Action Statement:
"As we remember it becomes our responsibility to remind."
Active Backgrounds has become the physical manifestation of the truth and love I am finding within
myself. Most of the people I share this with say they are experiencing the same kind of "Awakening"
taking place within themselves.
Become part of the Active Backgrounds, walk the talk and become part of the
solution, a weapon of mass connection! Wearing and giving away Active Backgrounds T-shirts with
Conscious Awareness and Specific Intent WILL help speed this awakening process and move the world in
the direction of peace.

Imagine this
You wake up some idle Saturday morning... As you are getting ready to run some errands you start
wondering what to wear. Normally you wouldn't think about how your clothes affect other people,
only the impression you are trying to portray about yourself. (This is called Ego; most decisions
we make are based on EGO. Ego's definition: The self as distinguished from ALL others.)
Except today - today you CHOOSE to put on an Active Backgrounds T-shirt. You do it with the
CONSCIOUS AWARENESS and SPECIFIC INTENT of sharing a beautiful message of love with everyone you
pass by. Knowing in your heart that someone you're going to cross paths with has forgotten and
needs to be REMINDED just how special they are.
Unbeknownst to you, the cashier at the gas station you stopped at woke up that same Saturday in dire
straits. Thinking to himself, "if something doesn't give today, screw it! A fist full of pills and
a fifth of whisky and the pain will be gone." (I know this desperate feeling first hand.)
Then, there YOU are smiling ever so pleasantly with your cup of coffee and newspaper. "How are you"?
You ask. "I've been better", he replies and glances down at your shirt, it says:
Art: n. Divine Inspiration manifested physically;
YOU ARE A MASTERPIECE.
You hand him the $2.37, say thank you and walk out the door. Your 30-second encounter gives him the
courage to look at himself from a different perspective and starts him on the path to discovering the
real work of art he is.
